Naomi Seligman, as Director of Communications for Mayor Eric Garcetti, elevated his thought leadership and his administration’s work on issues including homelessness, affordable housing, economic development, access to quality jobs. and improving neighborhood quality of life with access to open and recreational space.
Her accomplishments include;
• Vastly growing the Mayor’s social media audience across all platforms and helping to produce, for the first time in the Mayor's office, viral videos including Shade Balls and the 101 Slowjam, as well an increased overall presence among all demographics.
• Helping lay the groundwork for Mayor Garcetti's successful bid for the Lucas Museum, the 2028 Olympics and his re-election with 81% of the vote. He also won a number of successful high-profile ballot initiatives including a $120 billion transportation measure, the nation's largest, and a $1.2 billion bond to address homelessness, both of which met a required two-thirds threshold to pass.
• Conceptualizing and driving signature events including Mayor Garcetti's Second Inaugural, the State of the City, and the Inaugural Los Angeles Women and Girls Address & Young Women’s Assembly.
